We have experience working with Iowa companies. Read about some of our work below!
Iowa Association of Business and Industry
“ABI was one of the earliest adapters of association social media use. We have strong engagement among our members, but often felt like we weren’t strategic in our messaging. We went to Freaky Fresh for guidance on how to extend our reach beyond our own usual suspects. It worked!”
– Leisa Fox, Senior VP at Iowa ABI
With help from Freaky Fresh, Iowa ABI was able to promote their 2014 ABI Executive Open golf event at Glen Oaks in West Des Moines. ABI needed help targeting Iowa business leaders and fulfilling golfer registrations. After our social media campaign, ABI had filled all registrations and even ended up having to turn some people down due to all of the increased exposure! We were able to market ABI’s event and promote it to over 7,200 business leaders in Des Moines and Cedar Rapids in just one month. What could your business do with that kind of exposure?

Laser Resources was founded in Urbandale, Iowa, in 1991. They sell copiers, printers, and print services to organizations of all types and sizes throughout Iowa and beyond. Despite recent success, Laser Resources simply didn’t have the time to manage any marketing efforts. They hired Thomas Lashier (founder of Freaky Fresh Marketing) to do this for them, and the results after just 10 months were remarkable. Read the case study here: FFM LRI visual case study

Growers Edge is an online resource for farmers. The company has over 20,000 users across the United States and wanted to attract more users through the use of social media. We were able to attract over 600 Facebook fans within the first 45 days of working together through a strategy that included producing and distributing a white paper that discussed prevented planting in 2013. We also implemented a 4th of July photo contest that saw Growers Edge’s reach balloon to over 62,000 Facebook accounts! We also set up a Twitter account, LinkedIn profile, and Blogger page.

Des Moines Buccaneers
The Des Moines Buccaneers won our inaugural Freaky Fresh Bracket Challenge in spring 2013. Their grand prize? A 2-minute video that they could use in any way they wanted. The Bucs decided to use it as a promotional video to encourage season ticket sales. You can see pictures of the film production by clicking here, and you can also watch the final video below:
Citizens for Johnston Quality Schools
We have also worked with the Citizens for Johnston Quality Schools to support a local bond referendum for the Johnston Community School District. The bond was voted down in September 2012, but with help from Freaky Fresh it successfully passed in June 2013! The “yes” voters grew by over 12% thanks to improved communication. We worked with the committee and district staff to film informational videos and run several email campaigns. These videos helped educate bond voters and even got mentioned in the Des Moines Register.

Never Say Can’t Foundation
We worked with the Never Say Can’t Foundation to get the word out about their first annual Baseball Showcase. This showcase was organized for high school underclassmen to get more exposure to high school and college coaches. The showcase was held in memory of former student, Spenser Nelson.
